| This Prayer was found in the old records of the Lodge and was dedicated and recited to our Brother on the night of his raising to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. A Prayer Composed by Pierce “Pete” Owens a member in Plymouth Rock, Date unknown. Our heavenly Father we gather here with our Brothers to reenact the building of King Solomon’s Temple. And as we lay the corner stone in its allotted place, we ask thee to fill our hearts with Brotherly love and Friendship. Give unto thy spiritual blessings, so that we may walk in thy light. Our heavenly Father we also pray for this Brother who is about to make his journey. Fill his heart with the real spirit of Masonry and may he always remember into whom he put his trust. And last O’God, we ask thee to help us and guide us, so that the work of our hands and the meditations of our lips be acceptable in thy sight. In thy Holy name we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen “So Mote It Be” Fraternally, Jack E. Gibbs Chaplain |
